US adopts National ID: Homeland Security Now In charge of Regulations for all US States Drivers Licenses and Birth Certificates

In a chilling act more reminiscent of the now defunct Soviet Union or the Nazi regime of Adolph Hitler, the United States Congress passed legislation yesterday that requires the States to surrender their regulatory rights over driver’s licenses and birth certificates to The Department of Homeland Security.
The massive US Intelligence Reform Bill weighed in at over 3,000 pages and though unread by individual Members of either the House or Senate nevertheless passed all of the legislative hurdles needed in order to become law.

I'd think I was a loose cannon, if it weren't for the fact that everywhere I go, people of all ages, races and socio-economic status' are saying the same thing. People I know who lived in Germany in 1933 are saying it too; "This is how Hitler started." They are worried and so am I. You should be too, unless you have a major terminal illness that will remove you from all this mess in less than a few years. If you have children and want to protect them, you might consider emigrating to 'old Europe', or Australia or Canada. It's real, it's true and it's happening now.
We have forfeited our freedoms in exchange for the 'safety' of a fascist dictatorship. Bad deal, if you ask me.

It's the educational system stupid

Yup. The system is really designed to make you stupid. Clear away any critical thinking skills you might have, make you into a good little worker bee, who will follow orders without question or complaint, who will breathe in noxious fumes from the factory without wondering whether you should be wearing a mask, and who will not ask for a pay raise and be so grateful when you are given an extra 5 cents and hour as a bonus. Good bee! We make Walmart just for you. You are now a part of the insidious destruction of life on earth and you don't know it. You don't even WANT to know it - see? The System works! You'll work and work until you are sick and dying, and then you'll be too poor to afford good medical care.

Now now...those aren't Visigoths at the city gates, luvs....they're our dear politicians and neocon-nazi neighbors, ready to slink in, step-by-step, and before you know it - POOF! - you have yourself a nice, clean, sanitary life, filled with fear of the bad guys (whoever they are this week) coming and taking it all away, so you will blindly follow-the-leader to your death, or the death of your children to protect someone else's business, power and wealth.

Wish I'd have thought of it. Dang. Gotta give Karl Rove and the rest of the tri-lateral comish boyz credit where it's due.

Real, honest education, where people are taught to think clearly and critically, to understand and use logic, and to operate in their own - as well as others' - best interests....just imagine what a chaotic, unruly uncontrollable mass of independant thinkers that would create. How messy.

What rough beast, it's hour come round at last, slouches toward Bethlehem?
